Where can i get a form on small claims stating i've settle things with the other party?

I'm suing someone in a small claim court. The person I'm suing nows wants to pay up before the court date. I need a form or document stating he gave me the money and I will dismiss the claim.

Answers:
Once you are paid, and only once you are paid, file a "Voluntary Dismissal" with the court clerk for you file. Call the judge's assistant and make sure the assistant knows you are dismissing the case.

You can print ot type the Voluntary Dismissal, if the clerk doesn't have the form. You will have to sign it, but it doesn't have to be perfect. Just say you are "voluntarily dismissing the action." It's small claims court. The judge does not expect perfection.

Well, to dismiss the case, you should get the appropriate form from the court. Fill it out and file it. Don't do it until you get paid.
Just get a request for dismissal form (from the same place you got the other small claims paperwork) and file it with the court. I would wait until their check clears, though.
