What do background checks for employment consist of. What are they looking for?
what disqualifies you for employment in a background check.
Answers:
Education, previous employment, military, how many times you might have moved in the last ten years, drivers license, S.S. number and criminal background,. (if any, may disqualify you) Good luck!
Crminal conviction, bad credit and bankruptcy
if you have been charged with a felony before.
Typically just a criminal conviction.
Anything that threatens the profitability of the business doing the hiring - like bank robbery for a bank; drug abuse for pharmacies, hospitals, etc.; reckless driving for cab companies, trucking companies, etc.; etc.
Pretty much just felonies -- but sometimes traffic or driving record problems or relevant misdemeanor crimes, if it's relevant to the job. For example, if you have a misdemeanor for, say, stealing, that might disqualify you from a job at a bank or retail, or if you have a bad driving record (like, really bad, drunk driving or severe point deductions for suspended license or something), that might disqualify you from a driving job.
Depends on the employer. If the mob did a background check on you they would be looking for different things than say, the state office for technology. What do you think they are looking for idiot?
Criminal family members can disqualify you. Felonies and some misdemeanors. It depend on what you are applying for. if you are applying for a job to work with children. You can not have any type of negative record with children. When doing the check they will question everybody they can that know you. Family , Friends, Neighbors. And when i say family. Do count your distant cousins."smile" I kid you not. They leave no stones unturned. And if they miss something and find out after you are employed that you lied. You are fired. The term "I don't care what people say about me" is no good. What people say about you can make you are break you. And the real thing is they don't tell you who said what. Your reputation is very important. So if you are a young person. Be wise in your doings. They can come back to haunt you.
