How to use my legal rights to protest a mink farm development near my home?
Please help me to keep their stinky mink away from my home. The value of my land is going to decline dramatically if no action is performed and I know that mink farms stink to high heaven. Thanks for any possible help!

Well, is the land it will be on zoned for it? Was it zoned that way before you bought your home? If so, you're probably out of luck.

Not sure on the legal points of this one, but I know what you CAN do. Get a bunch of big fans. Blow the smell elsewhere.
are you rural, will they become a company, is the land farm property or commercial? What has the county decided for that area? You need to know. Only then can you get a petition going against that mink farm, but it must be worded properly AND you need to find out how many signatures you need to change peoples minds (so ask). These days there are things like ecology and prevention of harming animals for their skins, so check first to see if this kind of business is accepted or legal, and then get some environmentalists (organizations) behind you as well.
that is the problem with urban sprawl -- i own a lot of rural land and most of it butts up against housing developments. i will not raise minks (do not know enough about them) or pigs since i do not like the smell my self. but i do have cows, llamas, Min donkeys and goats. yes sticky (that his name does stink) but since there is no zoning laws i just go about my business. and hate to tell you that if you do get it re-zoned most likely the mink farm will be grandfather in. hate to type this, but would not it be easier for you to move back to the inter city where you only smell the city odors.
