Can i sue my friend for stealing my cellphone?

i left my phone at my girls house and my girlfriends sisters bf stoled my phone

i got proof too

i checked the calls online and
he called my girlfriends sister like ALL NIGHT

can i sue him

and for like money?

Yeah you can, he not only stole your phone but left you with a bill that you are forced to pay. Make him cough up the money, if he doesn't take his *** to court.

yes you can sue civil court for the price of the phone and charges to your bill or you can file theft charges
you probably can but is it worth losing a friend over?
Why not confront him and let him know that as a friend you would expect him to do the right thing and return the phone and pay for all the calls he made.
This way you will either get your phone back without the extra cost and still have a friend or find out he's not a friend.
It would probably cost you more to sue than the cost of the phone and calls made. Just end your present contract with the cellphone people.
Sure you can sue... that's civil law.
If you really can prove that he has your phone, drop a dime
and get your phone back that way.
