Please Answer!?
Let's say my sister does something really bad, like steal from Wal-Mart. She's taken to juvi and the next day, they tell my parents that if they don't bail her out, they're sending her back to Mexico. So my parents take her out, but the police decide to take her to court fot a judge to decide whether she should stay in the US. or get deported. The judge decides that she can stay only after she finishes high school (she's in 11th grade now). So, if they take her a year from now, is there any chance that they might take my parents, too? Thanks for answering.

First of all, the police lied to get your parents' attention. They don't have the power to deport someone. Your sister would have had to face the judge anyway and immigration authorities would have had to get involved to make the decision to send her back to her country. They will deport only the person who committed the crime, but would your parents want to stay here and send the poor girl back to her country to go fend for herself?
No they are not going to take your parents. The reason is because of you so don't worry ;-)
That sounds pretty Draconian to me
What the heck here? If your in the country illegally, yes they can deport anyone. Whether they do is another whole story. It would have been better if your sister just didn't steal to begin with! WalMart isn't going to do anything. They just won't let her come into the store again. The local police won't do anything either. It will be the DHS that does the deportation - if there is going to be one!
I don't have an answer for you. The only thing I could think of is to call the immigration agency (or have a friend) and ask them the question. If your parent have a green card or were born here, the are safe. Same with you sister. I don't want to tell you wrong, but you need to ask that question to the person who works in the field of immigration. Good Luck. Sorry I couldn't help you.
