Workplace problem! Please help?

My friend was written up at work for something that happened on the job. His manager was telling everyone about the act of why he got into trouble. Is their a law against this and if so, what is it called?

Answer:
Right to privacy. Report the boss to his boss, they could be sued.

Well, his boss is being very unprofessional. I am sure there is someone over him that this type of behavior can be reported to. It is UNETHICAL.
There is no law against an employee informing the staff of what an employee did and why he/she was written up. If anything, consider it a warning for yourself and be thankful that the employer is giving everyone notice on what not to do to jeopardize your employment.
