Is it illegal to allow minors to ride in the bed of trucks in the state of Florida??

Answers:
Minors in FL cannot ride in the bed of a truck unless they have some kind of seat and seat belt.

2007 Florida Statutes Title XXIII Chapter 316, part 2(b)

b) It is unlawful for any operator of a pickup truck or flatbed truck to permit a minor child who has not attained 18 years of age to ride upon limited access facilities of the state within the open body of a pickup truck or flatbed truck unless the minor is restrained within the open body in the back of a truck that has been modified to include secure seating and safety restraints to prevent the passenger from being thrown, falling, or jumping from the truck. This paragraph does not apply in a medical emergency if the child is accompanied within the truck by an adult. A county is exempt from this paragraph if the governing body of the county, by majority vote, following a noticed public hearing, votes to exempt the county from this paragraph.

It should be...it's so dangerous. Please don't!
I've heard it was but I've seen so many people riding in the back I'm not so sure
yes it is you have to be 18 i think i havent been there in awhile
Not illegal.just irresponsible. Ahhh who am I kidding I grew up in the country, put all them little bastards in the back and hit the road.
It's illegal for anyone to do that, although I live in Florida and see people do it all the time.
I do not know, but I hope that they do not. It is very dangerous. Sure, it is fun. I remember doing that when I was young and dumb (dumber, I guess). It really can be quite dangerous, however. To determine the legality of the scenario, just ask a policeman--but be prepared for the lecture about the dangers involved.
I got pulled over by the police for that one time.
Maybe, but if it's not it's still a good way to get the kids killed, don't do dumb stuff
yes it is a child of any age must be restrained in a seat
