I got somthing sent to me throught the US Post office and when it arrived it was damaged? What do i do?

Answers:
If it wasn't insure then you are out of luck.
If it was sent regular post, it was not insured.

Check with the shipper to see what the terms of the delivery where and if the parcel carried insurance. If it did, contact you local post office and file a claim. If it did not, then that is your problem.

if it was insured, you will receive compensation, if not, you are s.o.l.
Contact the USPS on their website or go down to your local PO. Keep all the wrappings etc. Did you have insurance on the item?
If a store sent it, send it back--they'll replace it. If it was sent by a friend or family member and you had no insurance, you're pretty much out of luck.
You said the US Postal Service? Honey, be happy you got it at all.
