Who do you complain to if a job terminates you and doesn't pay you for the time you worked?

Job lasted three days. He said he would send me the check. When it didn't come within the first week I contacted him and he said he would send it the following weds. It is now the following monday and I still haven't recieved it. I emailed him about it yesterday and he hasn't responded. I need this money right now or I can't pay my bills. It has now been close to two weeks since the termination. How can I get this resolved, who do I go to to go over his head if he won't pay me.

Answers:
your best bet is to file a complaint with the board of labor in your area

Go to him personally, get a lawyer or something. He must be a cheapskate.Look for another job!You seriously do not need to work for this guy!
Call your city secretary and ask her to point you in the right direction.
Contact the labor board. In fact a simple threat to call the labor board will make it appear miraculously.
A lawyer...this is America, we sue for everything. By the way, you'll be hearing from my attorney.
You should go to his boss or through the Human resources of the company. If all of that fails then contact the Department of Labor.
Is it a family owned business or what?

If it's not..and it's a developed company like CVS or something..then you call the Corporate Office on his punk ***.

If it's just family owned..I would just go up to the place and stand there..waiting for the douche to give me my money. Just harass him until he does.
Contact the Human resources department and explain what happened .

If all else fails claim unemployment and when they call for info, tell them that the employer owes for back wages .

You can also try to sue them in small claims court .
Since he said he would pay you for the time you worked you would have to call the cooperate office. If they don't do anything call your labor union and if that doesn't work talk to a lawyer. They can tell you if you would be able to sue them or not.
They owe you fro the time worked. Report them to the labor board.
They do not have to pay you until your next regularly scheduled pay day.
Contact your state Labor Board Commisioner... They are the ones who regulate things such as this...
