Can we sue for harassment?

I work for a local jewelry store that only employs two employees. Me and my boss. We keep getting calls from an automated message system for collections. They say it is an important message, lists a number, and asks for a call back. We ignored it for a month, I finally called and they were asking for a lady neither of us knew - and has never worked there. I told them this and I was told that our number would be removed from the system. We still recieved calls, called back a few more times and was told our number was removed and was not calling (but it was). We tried blocking the number, they then starting calling under unknown so the call would go through. We have VERY important customers at the store, and a lot that call to check on their things. the calls come about three times a day so we are constantly having to put some one on hold.
We have recorded their messages on our answering machine a few times and every time we have called them telling them the problem.

Answers:
Get your boss to have his attorney prepare a cease and desist letter. The next time you speak with the collection agency, ask for the address, which they should provide. If you have told them several times that you have never heard of this person, they should not still be calling. It is time to get an attorney involved. We get calls like this too, but usually as soon as you tell them that the person has never worked or no longer works there, they stop.

so you're slightly inconvenienced and you want to sue? come on, earn your money, I have the same problem I've had my phone number for 6 months and I still get calls for the person who had it before from collection agencies. It's annoying but no reason to sue.
Have your boss call the police and tell them the situation. You can sue for harassment if you can prove the calls are from the same people. Good luck.
