Gary Ridgeway had 3 wives. It is very interesting to note that Gary's killing spree severely tapered off after he married his third wife, Judith. He wrote her after his arrest, telling her that the time he had been with her was the happiest of his life.
She divorced him after he was arrested, partly so she wouldn't get sued or her estate be decimated if the victim families sued Gary and her together. Apparently, Gary was her second husband. Her first was gay, and they divorced when he came out of the closet.
