Who thinks that Ramos and Compean should get a pardon and an apology?

I'd prefer to see their convictions vacated, then send them back to work with an apology and more ammunition.

They shot armed drug dealer in self defense. They were railroaded. I would want their records explunged no matter who is in the White House. The boarder should be a "shoot first, ask questions later" place. Maybe the drug lords and illegeals will quit envading our country.
Absolutely not! They broke the law and numerous Border Patrol procedures and policies. The failed to report their officer involved shooting incident, they failed to arrest the suspect, they failed to seize evidence from the scene, the made false statements regarding the incident and the list goes on.
Now, I do believe that the Federal Statute that requires the 10 year additional time for a "Crime" involving a firearm should have some sort of provision for law enforcement that act with the intent of enforcing the law, and maybe in the heat of a crime scene, shot when they didn't actually see a weapon.
I believe Ramos had a better case than Compean, in that after Compean fired 14 shots (all misses), Ramos fired one shot and the suspect was hit in the buttocks and went down. I could see how Ramos could have responded to Compean's action and felt that if Compean had fired and emptied his clip, then he may have seen a weapon and now is vulnerable, thereby justifying Ramos's shot, but Ramos's own testimony did not support that scenario.
It was a bad shoot, all the way around, and even though the suspect was an illegal border crosser smuggling drugs, law enforcement can not shoot a suspect unless there is a reasonable fear for their safety or the safety of others and an unarmed man running away from you, poses no threat.
