How do I get access to the other side of a property line to make privacy fence repair?

A limb fell and damaged my privacy fence. My neighbor will not allow access for me to make repairs. What remedy will work?

I need to be on both sides to make the repairs, for nailing and material handling.

It is rental property, and both properties are owned by the same person. The landlord has not responsibility as it is MY fence. I erected it. They told the landlord that I do not need to be on their side as it is nailed from my side. That is not true. It is nailed from their side and from my side.
I need to get access to make the repairs, for nailing and material handling.
Also, I need to know:
The remaining standing fence (its leaning now) could fall and damage something on their side, also there are exposed nails on the other side. Can I be held responsible if it falls and damages something or if someone gets hurt on the other side as long as they are denying access?

Answers:
you are a renter and you erected fence?the landlord owns the property,so you really only have the right to live there, not erect and repair fences unless it was specified in your lease and you have written permission from the landlord.
quite possible you could be held responsible because you erected it.

I suggest you try to work with the landlord. Ultimately, it will be landlord's decision on whether to let you on the other property, since the landlorn owns it, not the renter. All the landlord needs to do is give his other tenant reasonable notice that repairs are going to be made. I would think the landlord would want to have the fence repaired to avoid potential lawsuits, to which he would become a party regardless of who actually built the fence.
This is why people should really get along with their neighbors.
You'll just either have to kiss up to your neighbor and find out what it will take to get him to cooperate, or convince the landlord to allow you over to his side. The landlord has the authority to send anybody into a tenant's area to make repairs, as long as he gives prior written notice (usually 24 hours in advance in most states). Once he does that, you legally become an agent of the landlord and your neighbor won't be able to tell you not to go over there.
