Our legal system is not full proof, Don't U think U might get wrongly punished anytime?
Answers:
Of course it's not "fool" proof. Nothing is perfect in this world.
But, wrongful convictions are rare. A person's life is such a precious thing that the justice system does everything possible to not deprive one of liberty, freedom and life.
Are mistakes made? Sure - but rarely.
Interestingly enough, the most common mistakes are made because of inept and incompetent defense attorneys. Today, with DNA and video cameras everywhere, mistakes will become even more rare.
What makes most people think the system is flawed is because they themselves have been charged or convicted of something that they swear they didn't do even though all of the hard evidence proves they did.
You know, of course, that all convicted felons are innocent and "didn't do it".
It's entirely possible...
A revenge thing, a bad eyewitness account, being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
My heart goes out to those people that are wrongly convicted, and spend 10 or more years of their life in jail for a crime they didn't even commit. That is a travesty.
could
yeah, it happens all the time.
Sure hope not...
Hey Mona H...you look like me!
It's possible.
Indian Legal System is horrible. Even criminals get away by giving bribe from top to bottom and the real person who wants justice to happen, does not get justice but only dates. Justice is in favour of those who can give good amount of bribe... and it shows that our legal system is corrupt and manipulative.
