What Could Happen To Me Legally If I Dressed up Like A Doctor And Wondered Around A Hospital?
My brother and i were drunk and talking about that. What would happen if i actually did it?
Answers:
As long as you don't treat anyone, probably nothing. At worst you could be kicked out for tresspassing.
It's not like police officers were there is actually a law prohibiting impersenating a cop for instance.
lol Public Intoxication if you were drunk. Take a bag and go trick or treating door to door and you'd probably just have to go for a psychology exam.
As long as you didn't tell anyone that you were in fact a Doctor, and you didn't have any identification that said you were a doctor, and you weren't trespassing, meaning you had permission to be on the premises, that would be fine.
That is illegal, impersonating a doctor, but I don't think you mean that.
You would most likely be arrested, and quite soon. In the movies people seem to be able to find a lab coat with a doctor's name tag whenever they need it, but those of us who wear the damned things know each other.
The nurses know who is who, as do the technicians, the cleaners and the stores guys. Most importantly, the security guys not only know who we are, but also have cameras all over the place to watch out for us. You might last ten minutes if you avoided the cafeteria, gift shop, staff lounge or other nonpublic areas, but why risk arrest if you are only going to go where you are allowed to?
If you do try it, do it on day shift because it is busiest, and there are sometimes a few visiting GPs we don't see a lot of. You might get away with it for half an hour before you are caught, so that will at least max your time out. Also, more people will get to enjoy your humiliation when the cops haul you out wearing nothing but patient gowns.
You'd be spotted by real hospital people within five minutes and be in cuffs within 30 minutes.
i dressed up as a doctor but i was doing some plumbing work and had to stay sanitary. Uhm you'll probably get kicked out for public intoxication.
