Uk Police forced entry into my home?

Uk police forced entry into my home, my son had been assulted and, admitted to hospital and discharged on the proviso that he stays with some one for 24 hours. he stayed at a friends house, and upon returning home found that the UK Police had forced entry into my home to see if he was OK. can i get compestion for the Police damage for the forced entry.
