Are my unused vacation hours calculated at my hourly rate when applied to my final check?

What about sick hours how does that work?

Answers:
Read your employment contract, or, if you have no employment contract, read your employee personnel manual. It might be covered there.

When I retired, I was compensated for unused vacation and sick days at my regular rate of pay. However, all of that was spelled out in the employee manual.

Depends on company policy.

Unless your contract says you get those hours, they do not have to give them to you.

Most companies I've worked for will give you a check for vacation hours. Generally at your base rate and make you eat the sick days.

But really, it is up to them.
that depends on who you work for and what country you are in
but most employers will accumulate your sick and Holiday pays together
