Whats the difference between the KKK and Al Qaeda?
They both are terrorist organization that beleive in killing people who dont act, look or beleive in what they stand for. Some people might not be threaten by the KKK so they don't care. Can someone explain. Whats the difference in lynching and cutting people heads off? Its still murder.
Answers:
Both wear white sheets, both hate jews (Al Qaeda considers all Americans as jews apparently), and both think they're doing "Gods' work". Last but not least both are crazy
the KKK is relatively benign now, Al-Quaeda has a worldwide network and kill and random.
It's not the KKK anymore, it's the NRA. But yeah, point taken.
You answered your own question... so basically it's the spelling.
the kkk is a clan that threatens and sometimes kills the minorites in a country. the Al qaeda is a group of men that believe they are doing God's will.
There isn't a difference, if thats what you want answered.
The only difference is that they are against different things.
Al Qaeda claims that they are against the western and christian worlds.
KKK are white extremists who believe that not being christian, white, etc are a disease upon the world and they should be extricated.
Um, yeah.
Al Quieda (sp) is into mass murder, maybe they should put them together and have them kill each other off.
I agree as far as what they are about there isn't any difference they are both fueled by hate, and they both need to be stopped.
One other difference is Democrats hate the KKK but don't want to do anything to get rid of Al Quieda. (sp)
Both are also cowards.
They always hide their faces.
The KKK is pretty much gone these days, but they were a part of the democratic party that killed or harassed black people. They did not do any mass-murders. Their were not trying to inflict terror on everyone.
Al Qaeda is a terrorist organization that has mass-murdered tens of thousands of people, wants to change our form of government, and want all of us dead.
They are completely different.
the Bible & the Koran...and about 3000 miles
one is killing for racial difference...the other is killing for religious difference...maybe we feel less threatened by the KKK because our government did a good job at controlling them...Al Qaeda hasn't been able to be controlled by the governments that they are coming from...good, strong governments can usually control those kind of hate groups...
As far as I know, the clan doesn't have international plans. They've never bombed Saudi Arabia, or the Vatican as far as I know.
You could throw in reverse racists like Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson with the KKK; people that pervert the message of Dr King, to personally gain power and money, via throwing gas on the flamses of racial conflict. Instead of bringing people together and healing wounds, the liberal media has recognized and appointed Jackson/Sharptong to become the (false) leaders of black people. There is no difference between the KKK and the liberal's appointed reverse racists.
Both are about the same. They both believe their way is what their God wants, and anybody who doesnt fall in line is an infidel and needs to be wiped out. Sort of like that movie Frailty.
Al Qaeda has people that are not lily white. These people are who the KKK has to rally against. Both are cowardly and have to hide to do their dirty work.
There is no difference...they are all thugs. Perhaps in a perfect situation Al Qaeda and the KKK could go to war and totally wipe each other out. Then the world would be a little safer.
The KKK was a group of individuals who killed a specific portion of the population. Now that is just as wrong as Al Quada but they didn't invoke the world wide fear terrorists do. While the KKK is no longer lynching anyone, or burining churchs (anyone who does these things is doing more on a personal level than a group who plans it) they never killed on a mass scale. Car bombs were never used to kill, nor were planes, they never kidnapped people and video taped their executions. They never threatened to entire nations. While those who kill based upon race or religion are evil, the KKK became extinct (in terms of planned murder and terror, again individuals may agree with KKK beleifs and take that into their own hands), while Al Queda and Islamic terrorists are growing in great numbers.
The Ku Klux Klan is a white supremacy group that wanted to ensure the dominance of the white race over other races. Their goal is to keep power in the hands of a certain group of people: themselves.
Al Qaeda, on the other hand, is very different. They're NOT the people in power. They're a fringe group fighting for a cause. They believe that the country of Saudi Arabia and a number of other countries are run by "infidels." Really, they may not be far off, because in Saudi Arabia, the dominant social class is made up of -- you guessed it-- SAUDIS!
Others living in Saudi Arabia aren't quite as privileged. Also, it's a pretty totalitarian government. (I have no idea why the United States picked them as allies while condemning Iraq other than money and politics.)
The United States legitimizes, fights for, and supports their allies in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia's government. We militarily occupy and defend certain places.
Al Qaeda is pissed off about a crappy government in Saudi Arabia, and the United States is supporting them...
So Al Qaeda sees itself as a freedom-fighting revolutionary group like all the brave revolutionaries that came before them. They are the underdogs seeking empowerment from beneath despotic regimes.
I hope you can see how the two are different, then. One is a reactionary majority group trying to keep power. The other is a revolutionary group trying to end oppression.
But yes, both used violence to achieve their goals... (Though the KKK seems to be more of a protest group in recent years.)
The Knights of the KKK were the saviors of the Southerners when Yankee carpet baggers and freed ignorant uneducated slaves ruled the state houses.and their were federal troops occupying the south.they freed the south of Yankee rule, they were hero's at the time.but yes they hung a few people..Yankee new yorkers hung over 1000 blacks from the lampposts during the war.theirs FIVE times more KKK members up north right now then in the south.so the north is five times more racist then southerners,.no one has been lynched in the south in sixty or seventy years.no Yankee has hung a black from the lampposts in new york in a little longer then that, the KKK isn't a terrorist organization. when did they blow something up in the past hundred years?their for the white race is all. just like the NAACP is for the blacks.theirs freedom of speech in this country.and you don't like what they say is all.
nothing! they both want us to go back to the 18th century way of life>
The KKK is not willing to kill themselves for their cause.
The KKK is a bunch of oil changing, air conditioned cleaning, monkey greased , hard working people of America. They fix our cars, our homes, they build bridges, stock up on farm supplies and they like to eat raw meat.. The KKK also makes videos of people having sex with animals..The KKK is so cool.Bunch of broke back mountain hillbilly goat eating suspender blue jean wearing , space monkeys...
Al-Quaida can be me, you, anyone. They can own land, work a fulltime job, eat McDonalds, watch the Yankee game, enjoy life. Why are they so bad?????
While both groups are motivated by bigotry, they have certain manifest differences. The KKK's animus toward minorities is fueled by hatred and a misguided notion that whites are superior to other races, which should not be allowed to co-exist with them. Al Queda, on the other, is not motivated by personal hatred; its desire to hurt and maim is akin to the religious zeal displayed by those who persecuted Christains in the dark ages . Al Queda members are also motivated by unquestioning faith in Allah, who they believe regard the West as evil, deserving of death. Al Queda adherents not only do not fear death, but they believe that if they die in a jihad undertaking, they are paving the way for their family in the afterlife. Thus, Al Queda is characterized by supreme faith while the KKK is characterized by supreme hated. Regardless of motive, they both kill.
But Al Queda is the more formidable foe because it is difficult to defeat an enemy who is not only unafraid of death but welcomes it. Al Qudea will not go away as long as its adherents continue to believe that their personal involvement in terrorizing and eventually eradicating the infidels of the West is Allah's will and their actions will secure a place in heaven for them and their family.
The KKK, however, is comprised of thugs and cowards who could be controlled because of their fear of death or even exposure.
