Can a wrongful conviction seek compensation based on personal injury without having to sue the state of Texas?

I believe one should be able to file their 1099 tax under this status considering they are not wanting to sue the State of Texas... they only want to be compensated for the years, months and days they serverd the state for a crime they were released from...in other words, for a crime they did not committ.

Answers:
No, you/they would have to be able to prove the conviction was wrongful and file suit in a Court of Law AND WIN to receive any possible compensation.

If you don't pay you/they don't pay your taxes, you will find yourself/them justifiably with no recourse, in a federal prison for income tax evasion. Keep in mind the only charge that ever stuck to Al Capone was income tax evasion and he died in prision of a venereal disease.

You should to talk to a lawyer.
