Is it against the law to get high off perscription or over-the-counter drugs (in the United States)?

Since the drugs are legal, and suicide as technechly not illegal, it seems like this would be legal as stupid as it is. Is it legal?

Answers:
Well that depends on what you mean "get high". If you take a prescription medication in a manner other than which it was prescribed then you are violating the law.

If those prescription drugs make you high naturally then it is possible to take them, be high from them, and have it be legal.

But if you o.d. on a prescription drug then you absolutely are violating the law

Well no.as long as you have a prescription for the prescribes drugs and getting high off OTC would be considered using the drug your were allowed to buy
Well, there is no prohibition against going down to a bar and getting loaded, or just staying home and drinking. I'd say it's legal.
