Does anyone know if it is illegal for a town council to enforce a rule?

that has been ignored on 3 previous occasions ?

Answers:
No, it is not illegal. Whether the town is engaging in selective enforcement may be an issue in resolving the matter, whether at trial or in another fashion, but failing to enforce a rule on three occasions does not constituted either repealing or waiving future enforcement.

Ignoring it is not the same as repealing it. Each council is different; but if it is on the books, they have a right to enforce it. YOu have a right to pursue them for prejudicial application.
