Neighbor Problems ( cont. )?
To make a long story short, some teenaged guys moved in around the block a couple months ago, they stole my dog Sunday night, the cops found her, took her to the pound and I got her back, Monday night the guys who stole her came walking by trying to pet her and trying to talk to me, Tonight I got woke up by my mom who lives across the street from me saying that they were on bicycles circling from my car to her car in front of my house ( at 3am ), she went out there and ran them off and called the cops. You can read the whole story on my previous question about it.
What are they trying to do? They stole my dog, tryed to go to the pound and claim her, they tryed coming back up to my yard and pet her and stuff, and now this? The are really brave for being that young, My dad and husband could go out there and take all of them on physically, so it makes me wonder, do they have a gun and looking for a reason to use it or what? I am sitting here at 4am worried that a brick is going to come.

The way to handle this one is not with your Dad & Husband. What you do is get your teenage nephew, or cousin or brother in law or whoever to round up several of their biggest, baddest teenage friends and come over to your neighborhood and beat down the punks. The key is to not have them mention you or your family when they're making the punks crap their pants or say silly things like "I love George Michael" or something equally humiliating.
That's the way we handle it where i come from...
they are just having fun, by disturbing u, dont worry they wont do all the time, just relax for a week or so it will be fine as before
Do you KNOW for a fact they stole your dog?
Boys can be REALLY stupid when in groups. It doesn't surprise me they would steal the dog then come to you and play nice. Probably all a weird joke in their head.
I think if they kept it up, I would just continue calling the cops. Eventually the cops will get fed up and do something about it. If that fails, get your hubby to talk to them, man to man, and just ask what is up. Your best bet is to isolate one of them and just ask him what is going on.
I hope it all gets settled soon for ya.
police already have reports you need to press charges.
Also bring the dog inside and arm yourselves.
Odds are they are conducting gang behaviour to try and establish themselves dont treat them nicely, treat them as invaders.
Idiotic behaviour cannot be encouraged by you or made exscuises by anyone if you feel threatoned take the right steps.
get a cam recorder and tape them and that way you have proof of things they could be doing and then you can turn it into the police department as evidents....do these teenager have parents? ...If so could you talk to them about whats going on??
There's an old saying "the squeaky wheel get oiled". Call the police EVERYDAY about suspicious people near your house, suspcious behavior by people nearby, noise problems, poss. drug activity. Anything to be a pest to them (the police). They'll eventually determine that your block needs heavy monitoring and always have a car in the immediate area (unless called to a problem nearby). I recently found out through a local neighborhood watch program that the city I live in only has 14 patrol cars on at one time. They focus on heavy called areas as a "home base" and go to calls as needed. mind you, i live in a 150,000 population city. They can't be everywhere at once, give them a reason to patrol you're street and they will.. good luck
