Why are we so concerned with criminals rights?
Why are they allowed to sit, eat, be clothed, receive hospitalization for free?
It is said they have to pay a debt to society!
How is that done when it cost society 10's of thousands of dollars a year to take care of them!

Prison should be so bad, so horrible, that no criminal would ever do anything to be sent back to prison.

well if you didn't know prison if a big bizz nowadays. they make billions of dollars and are paid slave wages to do it. some are even customer service reps bet you didn't know that.jus because you make a mistake doesn't man your not human.
While I do agree with what you've said to an extent. I believe it comes down to human empathy however I believe the level of treatment is far too good. When the treatment in jail supasses that of those who are perfectly good law abiding citizens there a problem.
The constitution is the supreme law of the land and it specifically states that:
"Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted"
