Have we lost common sense with our laws today?

Every time common sense rears it's head, there are a battery of lawyers to oppose it.
In what way? I'm sure some of them are rather quite goofy, but can we be a little more specific?
the problem is that we have soooo many laws and some are unenforceable...but they stay on the books...you have to be a lawyer nowadays just to avoid breaking the law...our government is too big and all they do is add more laws, but when the laws keep coming faster and faster, the public stops paying attention and some really dangerous laws get passed
If you have money, anything is legal. If you don't, pretty much anything can be illegal.
I can spend hours on this topic...Its sick when we spend millions keeping convicted killers alive eating better meals than most of us. alowing sleep overs in prison even giving out condoms..
