DOES the QUEEN OWN MY HOUSE LEGALLY?
Answers:
No but she does own the land under you and HM goverment can compulsory purchase your house throw you out and demolish it and you have no right of appeal
Yep
The king owns the kingdom, all of it. That's the idea. Otherwise, why be the king?
Get rid of the king and the queen and the jack too.
And that crappy socialist government, it's more tyrannic than any king in the world today.
Yep and tell her the roof is leaking and I'm sure she will get it fixed for you.
I think you will find that under the current British law, the Queen only owns her own castles. Nobles from about the time of the Magna Carta on down to today have fought for personal land ownership and rights.
I mean, if the Queen owned every house in the UK, J.K. Rowling wouldn't be the richest woman in the country, now would she?
Depends where you live.
Yes. Technically all land in England and Wales is owned by the Monarch.
Very theoretically. Freehold land is ultimately owned by the Crown (which is a separate concept from the Queen, who can and does also own land personally). Apart from the overriding right of the Government to CPO your property, this concept only becomes of relevance when it sometimes effectively becomes ownerless. When this happens title to the land may, in certain circumstances, revert to the Crown as the ultimate owner of all the land in the England and Wales. This process is called ‘escheat’.
No but the government can exercise certain rights such as compulsive purchase. If your home is crown property then she technically owns it.She does own over 400 houses and dwellings in her own right.
