Can bosses change timecards without authorization, is it legal?
law firm, restaurants...i have worked for a lot of places and sometimes my bosses have changed my time card w/out permission. i yelled at one cause its almost like stealing from me...i would get in trouble if i stole from my co. so is it illegal?

No changing a time card is not legal. You can file a complaint with your states department of labor. Start keeping a close eye on your hours actually worked and what you are paid. If there's a deficiency complain in writing and keep doing it till it stops. Unfortunately it is a very common problem. Most employers don't realize it's a no no. Make sure you inform them that it is. Good luck!
It's forgery and it's a crime. Usually a felony. AND it's a wage and hour violation. Sue the bastards.
