ok,so in Ohio..they are trying to pass a law saying that. women have to have a mans permission to have an abortion . I mean i think abortion is wrong,but i dont think that they should have to have persmission,what do you guys think about it?

Well, in the position of the woman, I do understand it. Some guys wish to keep the child, and it is 1/2 their DNA as well as the woman's. There should be some say in the entire thing. But this should be something determined up front, instead of when it happens.
I don't know if "permission" is the right thing to require. I think there should be some proof that the man knows something about the pregnancy, and I think there should be avenues for the men to take the women to court if they oppose the abortion. But requiring permission is just a way to make women submissive to men, and I don't think that is the answer.

Well, if the father feels strongly about caring for his baby then may he should have a say. Provided he's not dangerous or anything. But I've never been in that position so I don't know, what to think about it.

Here is PA, if a married man wants to get a vasectomy, he has to have his wife sign off on the permission form. That one blew me away!
well it would have to depend on the situation in school we used to debate on this alot and eveyone has their own opinon but i think it should be up to both male and female she didnt do it on you own and i would want say in what i want with my child wouldnt you agree if it was the other way around but like some kind of a sexual abuse it should be the female..

A mans permission or the fathers permission. Big difference. If she had the baby the father would be liable for the child's support until it is 18 so I think for equality's sake, the father should have the right to decide this too. I think its a good thing.
I've seen it. It won't pass (and I'm not sure why the assumption that the putative fathers would choose not to abort) but it is indicative of the growing mindset that women don't have the right to control their own bodies.
You are mis-informed. There is no law like that before the Ohio legislature.
Perhaps some congressperson has proposed such a law, but it would never get any serious attention.
What is being discussed in many states is a law which prevents a woman from having an abortion without the consent of the unborn baby's father. Again, it is not before any state's legislature, it is only being discussed on lower levels. I believe we are pretty far away from such a law being voted on.
Well, it'd never work because a woman could get any man to sign off, I mean they are not gonna waste the time to do dna each time (if they can even do dna at that point? I am not sure).
I could see perhaps allowing legislation to have a father be allowed to make an application for an order barring the abortion but even then, the whole "my body" thing really comes into play.
I am in India but will support you. It is a woman's right to have or not to have a baby. It is her right to carry the pregnancy and deliver the baby or to abort it.
