Do you think cannabis should be legal?
Personally i think it should be because it's only a god damn plant ! ... stupid government. But what do you think and why ?
Answers:
Absolutely not.
In only a decade the number of admissions to psychiatric hospital caused by the drug soared by 85 per cent due to the fact that those who smoke the drug regularly are more than twice as likely to suffer illnesses such as schizophrenia, hallucinations and delusions later in life.
As well as psychotic illness cannabis can cause affective disorders such as depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts.
It can also effect physical health. Three to four cannabis cigarettes a day cause the same amount of damage to the lungs as 20 or more tobacco cigarettes a day. Thus there are rising levels of lung diseases such as emphysema.
It can also effect the unborn child. Scientists have identified that endogenous cannabinoids, molecules naturally produced by our brains are functionally similar to THC from cannabis and play significant roles in establishing how certain nerve cells connect to each other. Maternal cannabis use allows THC to travel through the placenta and impair foetal brain development and impose life-long cognitive, social, and motor deficits in affected offspring.
But then perhaps you are a cannabis user and your judgement is already impaired!!
Only for medicnal purposes only and prescribed by a doctor only.
For medicinal purpose's only. Its really good pain relief for cancer patients and takes away the nausea they experience with the cemo theropy.
It may be a natural plant, but lets be honest, its still a drug that does more harm than good.
Danny, I agree with you. Of course it should be legal.
Hell yea bt I dn't care I got plenty of it aftr all I AM the highest paid actress. BITCHES!!!
I for 1 think it should be legal. But you can blame one of our wonderful past presidents, Ronald Regan, for most of the marijuana laws. Prior to him they were starting to let up on it.
Only for medical purposes.
My neighbor's teenage son started smoking it. He came over one night and called me mommy.. He's 19, I'm 35. Don't tell me that stuff doesn't do anything to your brain.
Cigarettes and alcohol are legal. Why not.
Of course. Why not. It does not have nearly as many adverse side affects as alcohol. There are more accidents, car crashes, and violent incidents with alcohol. There are many more chemicals in cigarettes. You can get alcohol poisoning. YOU CANNOT OVERDOSE ON CANNIBUS!!!!!!

You know , Dr. whats his name with the long answer down there made some points. I dont think he mentioned some important things though.
Hey Doc. what about organized crime caused by the prohibition - that was a bad idea to make alcohol illegal.
How about the over crowded prisions full of "drug related criminals" ok ok meth, crack, that kind of stuff should be illegal - no question- but pot ... NO WAY!
No pothead gets hooked on pot. They get hooked on seeing things from a better point of view. They dont rob people for pot money. If they're out ...they go smoke they're friends. That's what its all about.
Let me get you stoned ONE TIME DOC. ... we'll chill out to some Pink Floyd or watch the comedian Jim Gaffagan. It'll be great.
Hell yes it shoud be legal.
ABSOLUTELY...It most definitely should be legal.
But not for the reasons so far stated.
For these reasons instead:
1. Much tax revenue could be realised from the commercial sale of marijuana (much as cigarettes and alcohol are sold today).
2. Commercial sales would eliminate the dealer who often uses marijuana as an entry drug to get customers to try other, more addictive (and more expensive) drugs.profit motive.
3. Commercial sales would also guarantee the purity of marijuana. Some drug dealers lace marijuana with other more addictive drugs to get the customer to eventually buy them.
4. Jails are full of users and dealers of marijuana. We really could be putting the jails to better use. This would also save tax money and free up some of the congested court systems.
It should be legal, but with strict rules. For first user, cannabis could gave bad effect, same like cigarettes and alcohols, but one they used it regularly, cannabis won`t be as danger as other legal stuff.
Wish the government could review back this kind of thing! We need weed to make people less cranky!!
This one is for you Dr. Obsolete:
DREHER'S JAMAICAN PREGNANCY STUDY
More Suppression of Marijuana Research
In the 1980s Melanie Dreher and colleagues at UMass Amherst began a longitudinal study to assess the well-being of infants and children whose mothers used cannabis during pregnancy. The researchers lived in rural Jamaican communities among the women they were studying. Thirty cannabis-using pregnant women were matched for age and socio-economic status with 30 non-users. Dreher et al compared the course of their pregnancies and their neo-natal outcomes, using various standard scales.
No differences were detected three days after birth. At 30 days the exposed babies did better than the non-exposed on all the scales and significantly better on two of the scales (having to do with autonomic stability and reflexes).
Follow-up studies were conducted when the kids were four and five (just before entering school and after). The moms were defined as light users (1-10 spliffs per week), moderate (11-20), and heavy (21-70). Consumption of ganja tea was also taken into account.
The children were measured at age four using three sets of criteria: the McCarthy scale, which measures verbal ability, <br />perceptivity, quantitative skills, memory and motor; a "behavioral style" scale measuring temperament, based on a 72-item questionnaire filled out by the child's primary caregiver; and a "quality of housing" index to indicate socioeconomic status.
No Differences at All."

Support all the people in the world that are innocent of just possessing a part of nature on their person: all the people in the world that need cannabis for medicinal purposes, and all the people in the world that grow this wonderful and natural plant to provide others that need it, to have it. This is the most versatile plant on earth hands down, we need to be utilizing it to live sustainably. We have to eliminate the stereotypes associated with cannabis and spread the truth far and wide! We also have to be very concerned with the ownership and patenting of nature, if cannabis is legalized we need to protect it from GMO patent! The government did not have the jurisdiction to outlaw plants to begin with, we have to end prohibition NOW!Educate yourself and find out why it‘s Bad and Expensive to have a WAR ON PLANTS. Sorry it‘s not Bad, it‘s Stupid!
