How to drop charges?
about a year ago, this guy had forced himself on me outside of a bar and my friend had went to the cops that night and i was told to write a statement ( I didnt want too ) but i did. I didnt want to press charges, but the cops said that they have no choice in the matter and so they did. It already went to a hearing and i was on the stand and i told my story, ( i have explained to everyone i didnt want to before i got in the stand ) and now i have to go infron of the Supreme Judge of Ottawa, and i just dont want to do this. I have a child and once i found out about this i have been very stressed out and losing my patients with him and everyone else. PLUS i have serveral heart issues and severe Anxiety thats been horrible the last couple of days to the point i am actually sick at night beucase of all this. IS there anyway at all i can get out of this or talk to someone about this to stop it!! I know its just going to get to the point that i have an Alsure ( however you spell it )

In a small way the other two aswers are correct. However, if the prosecution is relying on YOUR testimony to proscecute and you do not want to testify, usually they will drop the charges if your testimony is all they have to go. HOWEVER, if there have been other incidences/complaints from you or other women, then they can call you as a hostile witness to help establish probable cause.
You can't drop the charges since you are not the one who brought up the charges. The government is the one who brings up the charges. You really have no control over it at all.
If you feel you can not handle the stress of testifying you need to get a lawyer to represent you in this matter. He/she may be able to help arrange something that you'd be more comfortable doing or that would create less stress.
you cant drop the charges because the authorities charged him not you, but you are a witness and you can refuse to testify in which case they can charge you with obstruction of justice, and you can be fined and do a little bit of time.and if he reoffends and rapes someone else, they may have a lawsuit case against you because you could have prevented it. Goodluck.
