Spousal support question, Right now my spouse makes less money than I do but in a year she'll make twice as me

Spousal support question, Right now my spouse makes less money than I do but in 2 years she'll make twice as much as me. If we get a divorce now, how will the spousal support thing work now and in 2 years when she makes more money. Sate is California.

Answers:
Have your separation agreement or spousal support order include a limited time period of payments or have it worded such that it is reviewable in 2 years.

A change in circumstances is normally enough to apply to have the support reduced or removed however it is MUCH easier to do so with the foregoing factored in.

YO DONT SIGN THE PAPERS, milk it for 2 more years, and "when you leave her @ss u gonna leave with half"
Child Support is based on your annual income. Go on the web to the California Child Support Calculator. Input the figures, you will get the expected support payment, considering your custody agreement.
If a couple divorces, I don't think there should be any spousal support.

But to answer your question, you don't get spousal support on future earnings at the time of divorce. So if she makes less than you now then you will pay her spousal support if the court awards it. Once she makes more, you can petition the courts at that time to reduce the spousal support.
Spousal support is paid by the spouse who made more income during the course of the marriage, not after. So in this case, you would be required to pay her spousal support. If you were married for less than 10 years, then you will be required to pay this for half the time of your marriage.(5 yr. marriage = 2.5 yrs. spousal support) If you were married for ten years or more, then you will be required to pay this for the rest of her life unless she remarries. This is California law.
Truly pathetic, a man hoping to live off his divorced wife...make your own living...Are you Kevin Federline?
