Is this fraud?
i know someone who is getting a disability check who is not disabled. they had a tumor removed 4yrs ago that they said was cancerous. there has been no more cancer since. they are getting the disabilty check from ohio but they live in south carolina. they've never lived in ohio so how is this possible. also this person is working under the table bringing home tax free money anywhere between 300 and 400 dollars a week. they travel to ohio once every other month for a check up. the check ups are free because they let the med students at the college do the exams. i wont to turn them in so bad but i dont know what i shoul do. mind my business you think?

As an attorney I can't comment on whether or not it is fraud since you have only second hand knowledge and no knowledge of the particular case.
All of those who claim to know it is fraud are speaking without facts.
That is fraud, pure and simple. All tax payers are paying for people like this. There should be a 1-800 number for fraud of this nature in Ohio. You can turn them in annoymously. If you don't mind the rest of us paying taxes for losers like this then do nothing. If you would like justice, then turn them in. However, once you give the name it takes the state to act on it and chances are they won't. Most states are so slow to act on anything it is not funny.
Rest assured though, it is illegal.
Yes it's fraud. Our tax money that is taken out of our hard earned checks pay for this.
Do you pay taxes? If so, it is your business (and mine). Report them and let the authorities decide.
Yes, this is fraud and you should report them. If they are getting this money under the table, a call to the IRS would not hurt. Maybe also call your local television channel and tell them and get them to do an investigation into it so they can maybe win an award or something. If nothing else, call the Police and tell them what is going on. This is a crime, so they should investigate it.
Might as well let him be. Because he's working off the books and he has no official source of income, he's screwing himself in the long run since he won't be able to apply for social security later on.
i'm on ssi planning to do the same thing. Mind your own bussiness.
