I dont get it. ??

Answers:
have you ever read the sign "no shirt, no shoes, no service"...well that goes for guys too...but they dont have to wear pants...the sign doesnt say they do.so shirt shoes and no pants you will get service.

No shoes, no shirt, no service. I believe store owners dont want other customer to feel uncomfortable because a of somebody wearing no shirt. I mean think about it, you go to your local gas station to get something to drink and there is some 300 pound man with no shirt on. Would you feel comfortable in that store.
It's not illegal. It depends on the store policy. Many places want to appear decent and respectable.
I doubt that it is illegal. However, the store can insist on proper attire, including a shirt.
in the philippines where i live its ok same for females
It's not illegal, but who wants to buy food with a 1/2 naked man standing next to them?
Im not sure
I live in IL and here in many small stores like White hen or 7-11 it says "no shirt, no shoes - no service" but I went to Texas for last year and I saw a couple men go inside a gas station topless.
I think it just may depend on the owner of the business, if a owner of a large chain of stores decides that you can't go in topless then you can't, but if it's just a one simple store it may be ok.
I don't think there are specific laws that say it's illegal though.
Some stores yess some stores no. Some stores will say no shirt no service but others you can get away with it. It just matters where your at who you are and who is the owner.
It's not illegal, it's typically store policy in most stores. That's why it's posted on their doors. It is unsanitary and offensive to other costumers. They have the right to refuse service to costumers who do not follow their rules on their premises. If you went in without shoes or a shirt, they have every right to ask you to leave until you are properly attired, and to call police to have you removed if you don't comply.
