Pay for more for your rubbish to be collected?
this government reckon they have done a survey and 2 thirds of the public would pay to have their rubbish weighed and charged by weight to remove it! they are having a laugh. I have asked 14 people today and not one has agreed . Who are they asking?

They skew the questions to ensure they get the answer they want. They've been doing it for years. This country is run by the Government and big business, not the people, and most of the "sheeple" around you don't even realise it.

In a glorious piece of Political Correctness/Newspeak the local authorities are calling it now "save-as-you-throw". You can't make this kind of shi* up.
Charge for garbage removal and have free recycling is what I say.
I would suggest however that each household be allowed one large bag (or something) per pick and there be a charge for any above and beyond that.
I don't think weight is the right way to go about it because stuff like compostable veggie peelings and the like weigh more than plastics and cardboard which really should be recycled.
Although in my mind I am seeing alot of middle of the night garbage dumping going on for those too cheap to pay and too rude to care..
They didn't ask me. I already pay for my rubbish, so do they think that if you already pay for it, you must like it? I don't like it.
What they asked was: would you like to pay less Council Tax and be charged by weight for non-recycled rubbish. Two thirds of the public have such a short attention span they can't manage what comes after the "and". And they let these idiots vote!
Now if they'd asked: would you like to be charged by weight for non-recycled rubbish and pay less council tax, they'd have got the opposite answer.
Ha, ha, ha :) .this is the sort of propaganda used during world war 1.. the Hun bayonet babies and eat them.. well New Labour still think the public are thick... lets go to war they have weapons of mass destruction don't you know? Why don't they just bring in some loud music and flood light our houses all night until we crack? :)
I love old know alls answer. It is so true. I bet if this scheme comes into operation it will work out that most people are worse off. They think if they put out this propoganda most people will think "oh, it is ok because most people agree with it - it said so in the survey". Politicians these days are full of mind games

I do not like that idea very much.
I think most people do realise what this government are up to...and the last Tory government...It's surprising how similar they are.
But as Labour/Liberals/Conservatives say "why make us pay once or twice, when we can be charged/fined at least 3 times".
The idea of recycling is great, but you need to car to take your rubbish to them, and it is far more profitable to fine people for not recycling, than it is to collect and sort the rubbish.
They have already decided that this will happen, so why bother asking anybody?
And to put the cherry on the cake , i read somewhere ,that after making us recycle the rubish they don`t know what to do with most of it so about only 15% is used and the rest guess what ____get lumped together and taken to ground fill sites

As for them asking people , forget it , the only people that whould say yes , whould be in need of help , in other words a check up from the neck up
