Hi I was wondering if anyone knew about workmans Comp.?
See I am an on Call firefighter and I was doing some training when I was hit in the face by a hose cuppling. It broke a cupple of my teach and now I am in the process of trying to have them repaired, which is real costly since I do not have a dental plan of my own. But I was thinking it should be covered under workmans comp. When the accident occured I did all the approprite things filed paper work and advised the proper people. But now I have people telling me that the city may not cover it what do you guys think.
Answers:
first of all, don't listen to "people" until you know for sure what the outcome of your claim is.
then if the worst does happen and comp doesn't pick up your bills, get a good attorney and sue their a@@.
I think you need a comp lawyer - and don't worry about his fee; the city will have to cover that, too.
If you're not covered by comp then you have the right to sue. See a personal injury attorney: you'll recover much, much more from a suit than a comp claim.
