Telling future employer about charges still pending?
What do you tell them? If you have been in this situation, what did you say?
A security check will be done. Finger prints were taken. A minor offense that did not even occur athough zero tolerance is the reason any charges were laid - Accuser filed a civil suit looking for money (which is the motive for the charges) ... Accused is not guilty and will be proven - but that is irrelevant. Charges are there and pending. Please help? The accused will be getting a response to his interview next week, and will be coming forth with this information that will affect the outcome.
Thanks for your honesty.
Answer:
You say nothing.
Unless you have been convicted of a crime, it is not on your record, and is not their business.
Say nothing. After you have been cleared, get a letter from the court saying so and carry it with you the rest of your life. Also get your lawyer to petition the court to expunge your arrest record as this will also be used against you at every turn.
