What is the process and requirements to get married in California? & what is the quickest?
Can any judge or ordained minister just do it anytime anywhere? Is there a witing period ? I want to get married right now. Can I?

I think the only marriage requirement left in California is that one of you must be human.

I got married in California years ago under a provision they have for, I forget what it was called but something "settler's weddings" or something like that. It dates back to the 1800's when people lived together as if they were married but had not gotten married because the justice of the peace or whoever was too far away. When they could finally get married, they didn't want anyone to know they hadn't been married all along. So, basically, you can get married by a justice of the peace, no blood tests, no waiting period, etc. and there is no public record of the marriage (i.e., the date of the marriage is your secret.)
