My friend is going to court on verbal threat charges, what should she expect to happen to her?

Answer:
well if she was the one verbal threatening she might just get a restraining order placed on her or she might get community service or she might get a fine or she might get a slight (30 days or less) jail time

The judge will cuss her out BIG TIME!
Probably a GAG Order. If I were a judge in another country in another time, and she was a MAN. I'd cut out her tongue and her middle finger. but, I'm not, thank god. probably get a 5 dollar fine and a coupon for a spa treatment ... Sorry I'm just bitter over Lopsided Justice
depends she could be charged with assualt though unlikely. Best case scenario is NOTHING. The court has to find that a reasonable person would consider it a threat. If the threat does not cause or imply immediate harm it may be thrown out entirely
