How much do a lawyer make?

what are the differ kinds

Answers:
Different kinds of lawyers make very different salaries. For example, an assistant district attorney may make $30,000 when they are just starting out. A first-year associate at a large firm may make up to $140,000. But most students graduating from law school don't get that kind of job. The average is about $94,000 for all lawyers and $55,000 for lawyers just starting out.
There are many different types of lawyers, way too many to name here - some work for the government (DA, city solicitor, public defender, etc.), others work for firms that do a lot of different work. There are also in-house counsel positions where you are the lawyer for one company. The list could go on and on.

They all make high salaries. The thing is, you have to be able to afford the schooling and willing to spend a lot of time doing it. Defense attorneys of all types, District Attorneys, I don't know, there are many, just google the term "attorney" or use wikipedia...
Anywhere between 20,000 to millions a year. If you want to be one, you will have to get a better understanding of the English language.
It varies widely depending on type of practice, years in practice and location. On the low end is about $40,000. On the high end is millions. In the midwest, attorneys with experience over 10 years make $150,000-$250,000 on average.
depends on the type of law...a criminal defense lawyer may charge 200 or 300 an hour or even more.if you go for a big name lawyer you'll pay a lot more...
Personal Injury/ Medical Malpractice the lawyers can make alot ..i work for a plaintiff firm (the injured party) the lawyers only get paid if the case settles, if the case renders a defendants verdict that means our client doesn't get any $ and our firm doesn't get any sort of fee.( for trying the case, work that was put into it, expenses paid out, fee etc.) on settlements the standard is 33 1/3 % on pi cases. (so if a case settles for 10,000 our firm gets a little over 3000.)
the fist and easy distinction of attornies are Criminal and Tort. One deals with litigation from the state over a violation of a law and the other deals with litigation from another person or entitity (company, coporation etc). A personal injury attorny is a tort attonery. the lawyer you get when you sue the other driver for your broken back in a car wreck. an attorny who specializes in drug offences is a criminal attorny. There are personal injury lawyers, bankrupcy lawyers, probate lawyers, appealate lawyers, property lawyers, criminal lawyers, contract lawywers, admrality lawyers, constutional lawyers, copyright/intellectual property lawyers, real estate lawyers, commerce lawyers, coprate lawyers, adminstrative lawyers, (those are the gus you see on the tv commecials advertiving to fight on your behalf to get social security cheacks for you disability after the social security adminstration denied your claim) There are many more kinds of lawyers, but those listed are the more well know ones.

There are really no speciality degree upon graduating law school. the law degree is a J.D. there is no law degree that focuses on any of the sub area of pratice. many people combine other degrees with a law degree, such as a MBA, RN. others combine life/work experence. example a disabled vet who been ill served by the va decied to earn the JD and focues on adminstrative law and deal with vets who been denied service by the va. Or and RN decided to combine here RN degree with a JD. or an environmentalist decides to earn JD and work for environmental orginization.
as for pay, from below 100,000 to more money then i can think of. When one graduates from law school, the salary expecations will exceeed the reality greatly. if you are well connected and/or pratice of law in your family, the salary goes up.

as for invidual fees it veries but here are the more commone ones. upfront fees, and percentage fee. most criminal and divorce lawyers charge a upfront fee or a fee to do specfic tasks. Personal injury lawyers charge a fee as a portion of the reward, usually 33.3%

law tip: If you are about to be involved in a big divorce, go and see all of the best divorce lawyers in your town, and deiced the one who fits your needs. when the other party see the same lawyers that you consulted with, it may be seen as a "conflct of interest" and they may not accpt the opposing party. this material is NOT law advice. IAMYL, IANAL.
