A new law should be added.
Should homeowners be allowed to sue a burglar for the cost of all of the locks in their house?
Here's why. Locks are primarily to keep out the crooks. An extra expense for YOU to fork out. In a perfect world, you wouldn't need any locks at all.
If you ever had to replace locks for doors and windows, for your house, it costs lots of money.
Money from your pocket, to keep the idiot out. If the idiot breaks in anyhow, he deserves to pay for the cost of your protection that is supposed to keep him out.
Answers:
you are allowed to sue anybody you want for anything you can think. The problem is you only know for sure that you will have expenses like legal aid and missed work. You do know what you have as you enter court but you never know how you com out after Judge,Lawyers and possible jury are done.Even if you win a lawsuit sometimes you will not be able to collect as people could disappear or if they file bankruptcy.
If he's caught, he'll be facing more serious problems than paying for your locks.
If someone broke into your house, you most certainly could sue them for damages. But by them time you get around to that, after waiting for the criminal trial to finish, the insurance company should have already paid out. At that point it would be the insurance company's job to recover the money from the criminal they paid out.
yep perfectly presented.
LOL, the liberals saw to it that it will never happen.
