Why do some people just refuse to believe that ultimately the buck stops with Koresh?
Koresh broke federal gun laws by having automatic weapons.
Koresh brainwashed people into forming a cult with him.
Koresh led his cult on a shooting rampage of the ATF Agents.
Koresh sexually preyed on young girls as we can see in the videotapes where he sits with his wives and offspring.
Koresh didn't let any of the children out after his message was aired on Catholic radio, breaking his promise.
Koresh stubbornly wouldn't let anyone out of the burning house.
I also think Koresh started the fire to martyr himself and his cult in a fiery death, cult willing or not.
Now mistakes were made by the FBI and the ATF, particularly with the initial raid. But the buck stops with Koresh! Why can't people see this! And who else thinks it is really weak to attack Hillary over this incident. Now I think HIllarywould be a poor choice for prez, but come on find a better way to criticize. And why are we having so many pro Koresh spammers today?
Answers:
Nice try, but NO.
Clinton had the little kids burned up. He wanted to show that he was brave even though he was a Draft Dodging Coward.
Koresh played right into Clinton's hands.
Koresh was dumb. Clinton was evil.
Since you are interested, you must know that the FBI & the ATF, acting under Reno's orders, got caught in a conspiracy about the illegal firearms that Koresh had. It was proven a lie. Just an excuse to kill a bunch of nuts.
THAT SHOULD TELL YOU SOMETHING!
it is another way to bash Clinton and Koresh was a "christian". seriously though there was no excuse for what Koresh was doing, regardless of weapons.
added. i agree mistakes were made by ATF,you abort a mission when told by your informant that Koresh found out about the raid. Koresh should have been arrested in town, but the end result was his fault
Koresh was a nut bar who figured out how to control people. No one is to blame for his insanity. Not even Hillary.
HIllary would make a great president.
They had a chance to arrest Koresh outside the compound but chose not to so that they could raid the compound.
They attacked a religious compund on Sunday while the members were at religious services.
The Texas Rangers found spent shell casings from the same rifle that killed Viki Weaver, near the FBI shelter, indicating that Lon Horouchi was using the Branch Davidians for target practice and that they could not leave the burning buildings without being shot. The Governor of Texas Quashed that Investigation.
The US Government gave up the moral high ground at Ruby Ridge and Waco. They are just as bloody as any other group of Facist.
No automatic weapons were found. Koresh allowed ATF to search the premises at any time, yet they refused several times to search the premises. The equipment to make automatic weapons was found, which means if you know guns, he had an SKS and a screwdriver.
The Davidians existed before Koresch, and exist still. Koresch did not create the Davidians.
Koresh did not open fire first...the ATF did. Further, how can you lead someone on a shooting rampage when it is your property, someone opens fire without identifying themselves, and never presents a warrant?
There has never been direct evidence proving your point. The sheriffs department for years tried and failed to build a case against the Davidians, but could never muster the evidence.
Yes, Koresch did break his promise.
The fire was too quick for everyone to evacuate. Some people did evacuate, and two of them were shot in the back by ATF, and were unarmed when they were shot.
The fire has conclusivly been shown to have started when government tanks entered the complex and fired explosive smoke and gas grenades inside the complex. The pressure, combined with dry wood, chemicals, and sparks from the cannon, started the fires.
It is weak to attack Hitlerly over this issue, as she was just the first lady. However, Reno should have been immediatly fired for her incompetence (being out of communication for so damn long and such).
ATF violated the property rights of the Davidians, did not properly serve a warrant, opened fire without identifying themselves, and violated the rules of engagement on several levels.
