When people are being chased by police on T.V.!?

When people are being chased by police, they have radio's helicopters are following them, spikes have blown out one or more of their tires, and yet they still continue to run. What is going on in these people's minds? Do they really think they can get away?

Answers:
Not on TV.

They are just doing what the director says.

Occasionally, they do get away. They just don't show those incidents on TV.
