Escort business legal or illegal? It's in the yellow pages...?

Answers:
Escorting someone is legal.

Having sex with them for pay is not.

Prostitution is generally not illegal. Solicitation of prostitution is generally illegal. I suppose if an escort propositioned an undercover policeman, that would be a crime. In any event, it keeps it off the streets, so who cares?
Depends on where you are!

I don't think they are illegal on their face, but we all know what they really are, don't we?
Being an escort itself is legal -- an escort is just someone who accompanies a person in pubic.

An escort is no different really than a body guard or a personal assistant -- just someone who is there, like any other service.

An escort can even have sex with a client -- as long as they are only being paid for the escorting part of the interaction -- it's not illegal if the sex is volutary -- jusy like it's not illegal to have sex with your accountant or hairdresser, as long as you're not paying them for the sex.

But, yes, many escorts are actually also prostitutes, and are charging for sex -- using the title "escort" as a cover to make it hard for prosecutors to prove the prostitution.
It's legal as long as it's just to have an escort.
If the person working for the escort service is selling
something illegal, like sex, than it is illegal.
It is legal in all jurisdictions. An escort is merely someone who ESCORTS YOU to a social event. If you pay them for sex, they are then a prostitute. Prostitution is illegal in most jurisdictions.
Not all escorts are prostitutes whereas most prostitutes would gladly escort you anywhere they could fleece you of money and bodily fluids.
escort business no
prostitution yes
It's legal. Some people make good money escorting while attending college.
