Why is it that illegal immigration target mostly Mexicans and not Europeans who overstayed their visas?

Mexicans are the majority of illegals, probably because the United States is connected to Mexico, making it very easy to cross the border and stay illegally. There are many other illegals from other places, but its much more difficult for them, therefore it's not mainly targeted.

Largely because few Europeans overstay their visas, and the vast majority of them entered the country legally.
Because Mexicans are here in vast numbers and most times are illegal aliens and are uneducated and commit crimes that include murder, rape and theif. Mexicans have been a horrible situation in the U. S. for just too long, and sad to express this view, but they are bad news.
(To include, Mexicans are not here in the high millions either, those few that are here are hiding within the 'Hispanic' title and are not related to other Latins within this country.)
because the Mexicans are more blatent about it and have friggin marches of tens of thousands of illegals in our own streets. they advertise these marches in advance and the friggin US government doesn't have the balls to call up the National Guard or deploy cadets in boot camp to round them up and ship them back after a good beat down.
also, the Euros don't demand that we lean french or German or Italian or whatever the Middle Easterners speak, the Euros don't demand welfare, the don't demand free health care, etc
good question. If someone overstays their visa, at least they are documented. Few Europeans swam across the Atlantic to sneak into the country. They are both problems, but if the border is unsecured, it poses a larger problem when people sneak into the country, which is why that type of illegal immigrant (regardless of country of origin) is targeted to a greater extent.
