Can I sue ?

Got a rental car ( from major rental company) after my own car was in an auto accident, driving down a major city interstate, rental car shuts down in middle of interstate putting me at grave risk, causing a seven car crash, tried to sue was told cannot because i was not injuried or go to hospital.
Car was later found to have no oil!!!
This happended two years ago, but it still traumatizes me, i cant drive on interstate as freely as i used to, I panick and get off!!

Answers:
You'd have to find out about your state's laws on negligent infliction of emotional distress, but that would be a long shot. It doesn't look like you really have a case, if you weren't actually hurt.

no
did they make it right, about giving your money back or a different car. did they hold u responsible for the damage(s)? if they made it right , and did not hold u responsible ,. then really there is nothing u can do but try to get over your fear of interstates. u said its been 2 years, shouldve thought of that sooner, then maybe u could.
Two years ago is waaaay to late to sue.

Maybe if you thought of this a year and a half ago, you would have a shot, but there's no way you could do it now.

I don't know who told you then that you couldn't sue, but you should have done it then, and you could have sued for what you did lose in that crash.
