Why is/was Jerry Falwell & Pat Robertson message based on hate and Bill Graham's based on love ?
Answers:
Billy Graham realized what was really important: winning souls to Christ and living for God, not getting political and going off the deep end.
Good point. I suppose that is how you tell a real Christian from a modern day Pharisee.
Be very careful about making false accusations against men of God when you have no idea what you are saying.. God defends His own
From Falwell's and Robertson's perspective, they did not feel their messages were based on hate, it was their belief that their message was based on the lessons of the Bible.
There are those who, in their strong political stance against the Christian Right placed a label of "hate" on these men but I do not recall either of them preaching that anyone should be hated. The closest they came was to hate the sin but they also made clear that you should not hate the sinner.
If that is not so, please show us some proof which would substantiate your summation.
Their message was not built on hate. It was based on the word of God in the Old Testament. Which is that homo-sexuality is an abomination to the Lord and should be stoned. Jesus showed us to hate the sin but love the sinner. Jesus said, " All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; no one comes to the father but through the son."
it all adds up to $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ God doesn't need money!!
