Can a CCJ be cancelled if your lawyers incompetence meant that they didn't pay something in time?

Please help anyone! I have posted questions on this before.

My solicitors are telling me all that can be done is get a certificate of satisfaction for a mistake that they made, that resulted in a judgement against me (they basically didn’t pay on time, after a car accident). I want to see if there is SOMETHING/ANYTHING that can be done, to make them go through the painful process of reversing this judgement.

They are telling me nothing can be done. My credit rating file now has this, and I’m willing to go to any length to get it removed.

Any legal brains – help!!!

Answers:
There is no way a court Judgement can be cancelled, the Judgement was done correctly, if your solicitors are to blame then you can start action against them but that will not remove the Judgement, a settled Judgement carries little or no stigma these days so pay it and forget about it, if you require financial support through mortgages or loans just explain what happened, ask your solicitor to confirm that the late payment was an oversight, 10% of the adult population probably have CCJs because of the pole tax so worry not.

You can not remove a CCJ.

What you can do is pay it and record a certificate of satisfaction.
or/and
You can ask the credit reference agency to attach a statement to it for all to see. The statement can explain what has happened and i would suggest the solicitors responsible should also attach a statement explaining their fault of negligence.
