So if we are paying the fine then logically we are guilty of a criminal offence and now have a criminal record!

It wasnt a fine handed down by court so it wasnt a crime.

Not quite true. If a parent or spouse pays a fine, that doesn't make them guilty of the offence. See your point though.

ah actualy to have a criminal record your a crime needs to be documented by your name and as this was not a criminal offence or a fine handed down from a criminal court. They were found guilty by the people who monitor television programs it is the equivlent of a boy scout being fined by his pack
