Can i get my money back without having a receipt ?? like for tools or books ?

Their is no law that requires this, however some stores will process a refund or exchange without a receipt.
Depends on the store policy. Without a receipt, you can not show that you bought it there and they do not have to take it back. Some still let you do it or have electronic databases of purchases.
It depends on the store policy..I have found that without the sales receipt most stores will allow you to exchange it but cash back I don't know of any store that will do that
at most stores you cannot get a refund but if you bring the item back they will gladly exchange it

Sure if your family owns the store. Some small family like
business that rembembers but otherwise unless it's by check or cr. card, where you can dig up sale then you are out of luck.
When I worked at Home Depot, we would only give store credit for items without a receipt, and even that wasn't permitted sometimes. Most stores have signs clearly saying "NO REFUND WITHOUT A RECEIPT," so you really don't have any excuse. Also, there is a time limit on returns, which may be printed on the bottom of the receipt, so don't bring back that unused can of paint from 1993 and expect to get a refund!
Most book stores do not allow returns on books at all. If they did, what would keep people from buying a book, reading it, and returning it when they're done?
