How can i start my answer when im asked by the interviewer "tell something about yourself?"?
please answer.. tnx
Answers:
make small talk and just say things you like to do and want to do. stay at ease.
I always start with "Well, .".
But that's probably a nervous habit. Just tell them about yourself. Where you went to college, what work related experience do you have. You can even throw in a hobby.
Your experience relevant to the job applied for, your educational qualification, your achievements anywhere. Don't talk about your pet dog, etc.,
"Well, you might not know this, but I am human"
or
"I like (insert food here)"
or
"I am (insert age here) years old"
or
"I am not an alien"
A great opportunity to give them all the buzz words you know they love. (Team player / self starter / commitment, etc)
"I like sunny days, puppies, and long walks on the beach. My turn-offs are."
Don't give them any personal information. Keep it job related.
I made the fatal mistake of the morals laundry list ( I'm honest, have integrity, etc.). What they really want to hear is for you to tell them the answers to all the questions they aren't legally allowed to ask. For example, marital status, number of kids, health history, mental health history, dysfunctional family, blah blah blah.
Do your homework about the laws where you live prior to any interview. Instead of what they want to hear, tell them something else. Be creative.
