California traffic violations?
i was recently pulled over for not fully stop behind the limit line at a stop sign and at the time i did not have my updated insurance on me, but the officer wrote down on my ticket that i did not have proof of insurance. is there a difference between the two? and how much does it cost, roughly? the total for my ticket came out to be 879 dollars
Answer:
Yup - it needs to be current to be proof of insurance.
You can usually have the charge reduced if you produce proof of insurance - and you don't need to pay an attorney for it.
The traffic court web site should have instructions on how to do this, as it is very common.
good attorney in california is Michael Grodsky
Not sure if he is in your area , but a good defense attorney
If you didn't have your updated insurance on you then it is true you had no proof of insurance. CA traffic laws must be very strict if you can be pulled over for not stopping in exactly the right place behind a stop line
